Julie (32) is an emergency room doctor renowned for her skills. She discovers that her husband Martin is cheating on her. She seeks refuge with her brother, Pascal, and during a car trip, they have a very serious accident. Her brother is thrown from the car and loses consciousness. She tries calmly to revive him, but in vain. From this point on, Julie's life changes radically. Feeling faint with each emergency room call, she faces a cruel dilemma: giving up her work until she manages to forget, but how can she do this when she feels as if she has lost everything.
