Rome 1994 - An officer on the anti-drug squad is involved in a shoot-out. As a security measure, he is transferred to Turin, at the authorities' disposal for other missions.
A few days later, he is ordered to guard a prisoner who is in hospital after a suicide attempt. During this mission, he forms a friendly bond with one of his younger and more fragile colleagues.
Over the long hours spent together on duty in the hospital room, the prisoner - already sentenced for corrupting an official - breaks down the personality of the young policeman who is already shaken by a drama in his private life...
